Melbourne View Hotel - Melbourne (Derbyshire)

Clean place with lovely view onto the gardens and surrounding countryside. Pleasant and welcoming staff, wonderful breakfast with a wide array of food. Gorgeous and relaxing hotel in an incredible setting in a peaceful area. Based close to the airport and the flight path of the East Midlands Airport.

Beds were very hard.

The rooms were tasteful, very polite and polite staff.

Disappointing aspect was quite small bathroom.

Fine countryside views, but the noise from aircraft was disruptive.

perfect base for exploring charming parks and local attractions

My family enjoyed a wonderful stay, with amazing views and the perfect opportunity to explore the nearby melbourne hall gardens, just a short walk away, and the excellent ferrer's arts and crafts centre, around almost 2 km from the hotel. Plus, the breakfast cooked to order added a personal touch to our experience.

We visited Donington Race Track for some thrilling events and explored nearby attractions. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The hosts were friendly. Plus, the breakfast was great! Just a heads up, if you're a light sleeper, you might want to pack earplugs due to the aircraft noise.

One downside, unfortunately, was the unprofessional attitude of a staff member during an event we witnessed, which did leave a sour note on an otherwise great trip.

Loved the easy walk to the nearby festival, too!

Accessing the breakfast area could be a challenge during peak hours, and the parking situation may require some planning. Despite these minor hiccups, the attentive staff enhanced our experience.

The staff was cute, and they provided insights on local attractions. It was also great that our pet dog could join us.

In my kids' opinion, an on-site playground would have been ideal for family fun.

Amazing views and comfy beds!

The location was spot on with fine views all around. The bed was super comfy, made for a great night's sleep. Breakfast had loads of options, and we loved chilling at the picnic area too. Only thing was that the Wi-Fi was a bit spotty. Otherwise, totally enjoyed our stay!

I just had the most wonderful stay! The afternoon tea was one of the best I've ever had, and the outdoor setting made for flawless wedding photos. The breakfast was beautifully arranged and delicious too.

This place suits me perfectly, offering free wi-fi, 24-hour security, and a lovely picnic area. The staff once brought me a cold drink when it was hot. Highly recommend it!

We had a family room that was spacious and comfy. It had a big bed, a tv, and a lovely private bathroom with a walk-in shower. The view from the window was amazing, overlooking the gardens. Super friendly hosts. The breakfast had tons of choices, with fresh fruit and delicious pastries.

Perfect Stopover with Amazing Views!

The room was comfortable and the fine countryside views took our breath away. The staff catered to my daughter's breakfast whims perfectly. Pro tip, prepare for a sloped ceiling in some rooms. Just mind your head when moving about!
